A new update is available for the Continental GPEC4LM ECU in BOOT mode, found in Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep vehicles.
This update adds support for a specific variant of this ECU, notably found on 1.5 engines. For those who followed the previous update, you may have already noticed these engines on the list!
BOOT unlock is also available for these variants, allowing them to be written via OBD mode. As this OBD protocol is in BETA, we invite users participating in the BETA program to report any issues they encounter so we can continue to improve it.

Step 1: Read the ECU with PADFlash

Select Bench Mode- EDC16/ME9 Protocol.

Connect ECU with PADFlash via bench box on bench mode.
Read and save full Backup data (eeprom and flash).

Step 2: Modify File with XirDecoder
Select EDC16C35 protocol in XirDecoder.

Hit OK and upload original backup data read by PADFlash.

System says STAGE 1 and DPF OFF are possible to change.

We need to perform Stage 1 and Vmax Off (remove speed limit). Select STAGE 1 and VMAX OFF then hit Download to modify data.

Save the modified file.

NOTE: XirDecoder does not make checksum correction. It’s the tool’s job.

Step 3: Write the Modified file with PADFlash

Write the modified data with PADFlash. It will do checksum correction online.

Then install ECU back to vehicle and test.

Solution for Foxflash Login But No Program Launch

Problem: Failed to run Foxflash software after login?
How to fix program not starting after this screen?

It’s Windows 10 system.



Foxflash Cannot Start After Login Solution

Solution:

Make sure foxflash is plugged in and showing as dfb in Device Manager.

Kill the app through task manager.
Unplug FoxFlash USB.
Open FoxFlash manager.
Click Activate.
After the screen process started plug-in the USB cable and press OK.
After that open FoxFlash.

If the problem exists, contact your customer service.
