How to Move XirDecoder License and Use XRemover Correctly

Question 1: I want to transfer XirDecoder chip tuning software license to new laptop, can you reset this license?

Answer 1:

There’s actually a license reset button within the program. It will reset the license connection. It can also be used on a new PC.

Question 2: Can XRemover correct checksums on its own? Does it need internet to change the program? Does it do the reading and writing to the ecu also?

Answer 2: XRemover does not read or write to the ECU. Therefore, it does not perform checksums either.

You must use devices and software that read and write to the ECU, and these devices will perform their own checksum checks. XRemover applies the solution to a file. The original devices used when writing the resulting new file to the ECU also perform the checksum process. It is beneficial to use original devices, not clones, when writing to the ECU.

XirDecoder Update: View Live ECU Tuning Modifications

With the upcoming update, XirDecoder chip tuning software is introducing several important improvements. Previously, users would only receive a warning on the tuning page indicating that a file was not original. With the new update, after a file is uploaded on the main page, a new report screen will be available where users can view in detail which operations have already been applied to the file.

On this screen, users will be able to see all functions live, such as:

Which DTC codes have been disabled

• Whether STAGE1, STAGE2, VMAX, LAUNCH CONTROL, POPBANG, and HARDCUT have been applied
• Whether systems such as EGR, DPF, SCR, LAMBDA, TVA, FLAPS, MAF, OPF/GPF, CAT, NOX, and START-STOP are fully disabled

New options will also be introduced soon, and these will be shared with you before the update release date. For all current and upcoming options, users will be able to see exactly what has been done to the file in a transparent and detailed way. In short, with this update, everyone will be able to clearly see what modifications have been applied to a file in real time. This effectively enables a full file inspection, addressing the current issue where many users cannot determine whether a file is original or which modifications were previously applied.

As a second major feature, after writing a file while applying a solution, an information screen will be provided, outlining the required procedures that must be followed afterward.

We will share more details about the update soon. At the moment, our developers are actively revising all tables.

Finally, please note that a 25% price increase will be applied to all products, effective from the first week of 2026. There will be no price increase for annual license renewals.

The V3.1 update has arrived. This update adds features like MAF, NOX, OPF-GPF, and CAT OFF. General improvements have been made. Server improvements have been made, allowing for faster responses. DTC tables have been updated and improved. We’ve improved Stage 1 and 2 chip tuning operations.

Make your emissions solutions from the Home Page. With the new update, emissions on the TUNING page will be removed.

With the new update, more gasoline vehicle ECU types will be opened and extra emission solutions such as MAF, OPF-GPF-CAT OFF, NOX will be added.
