Problem:
Foxflash failed to read VW Simos 18.1 tc1792 ecu in boot mode. I have 14.5V And checked Pinout 2 times. There’s always this error (no response with ECU) and wake error. Any solution?
Solution:
1). Voltage issue.
Set to 13v. Too much voltage at the moment if 14.5v.
Some
ecus need very specific voltage, start allways from 12v and try again by raising
voltage in steps of +0.5v.
So 12v read, 12.5v read ,13v read and so on.. up
to 14v. Rare cases need to go above 14v.
2). Pinout issue.
You need to change the arrangement of the resistors.
Because at this point on one pin where you are supposed to have 1k ohm you have 2k ohm.
Will Padflash programmer read and write Ford Siemens VDO SID902 ECU?
Yes, PADFlash will read and write SID902 via Jtag.
SID902 is not possible to do on bench mode. Only Jtag or OBD. PADFlash can do it via Jtag mode.
PAD Flash software will show you jtag wiring diagram.
If need to read SID902 ECU via OBD, choose Alientech KESS3, Flex or Autotuner.
Here is the tip to read Benz MED17.7.3 ECU with Foxflash programmer.
MED17.7.3
Read/write/checksum ok.
Mistake in pinout in foxflash manual use
pinout for med17.7.3.1 which use +12 in the left corner not that middle
left like in wiring.
To read and write use the following driver:
→ BENCH TRICORE
→ MERCEDES
→ TC1797 — MERCEDES
→ MED17.7.3
